Problems Facing Florida???

I am doing a project for school in MI, and I was given the state Florida to do my research on. I have to give a persuasive speech on the major problems or issues in Florida and what are some possible solutions to fixing the problems. I was wandering what is the major problems facing the state of Florida? What is the major newspaper where I can read a few editorials online?
