Is my golf coach right to do this?

I play on a high school girls team, and my golf coach has not let me play in the last 5 matches, even though my score should decide where I play. There was a little misunderstanding at practice 2 weeks ago, when I left practice early, because I thought I was allowed to. Ever since then, I have been posting good scores in practice, but he won't play me but doesnt say why. I talked to him about it and he said that I wasnt playing in the first 2 matches, but he continues to keep me from playing. He's hurting the team to as I am one of the top golfers ont he team, and it was over a tiny problem? Is he just in doing this?
