Would you like a home made cake?

It is my husband's birthday on Wed and he is 39. I am broke a this month and really can't afford much, our car broke down so the money went to fix it. As I can't afford much I was going to make him a home made birthday cake. He is into motorbikes so I am going to make a hand made bike out of icing sugar to decorate the cake with to make it personal and give him a goody bag of his favourite crisps and sweets from childhood (bit like a kiddies party). I was then going to put up balloons and banners for him instead of buying an expensive gift. Later then I was going to cook a meal and take him to the cinema (2 for 1 offer). Would you like this or is it cheap? Do you think he will like it? I am worried how it will go.
